In Canada, Dan is known for being the former coach of Olympic gold medalist, world champion gold medalists and former world records holders in the 100m, Donovan Bailey, and Bruny Surin.
During his career, Dan coached over fifty Olympians of which 10 athletes were olympic medalists and over fifty world champions of which 11 were World champion medalists and 5 world record holder.
